Starting with A New Leaf LLC in 2014, this facility is home of the second cultivation license in Northern Nevada. Kate Duzhenko
Sales and Client Relations
Kate graduated from University of Nevada, Reno in 2011 with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and Biology. She later pursued an entrepreneurial opportunity that took her traveling to 19 countries. In 2017, she was the founder of an international baby goods business between Egypt and Ukraine. At Sugar Pine Cannabis Co, she oversees sales and B2B relations.
Rooted by her holistic upbringing in the Ukrainian countryside, Kate believes in the usefulness of herbal medicine. To her, sativa cannabis grew wild in the backyard. She respects the plant's medicinal properties and its ability to make a positive impact on the quality of life.

My journey into cannabis cultivation began as a quest for holistic health solutions, stemming from my experience as a former athlete dependent on opiates for injury management. Discovering cannabis as a safer alternative to pharmaceuticals ignited my passion for this plant.

At Sugar Pine, I bring five years of experience in cannabis cultivation, specializing in post-harvest production. From meticulous drying and curing to precise trimming, I ensure every step is handled with care and expertise.

Driven by excellence and sustainability, I constantly refine our post-harvest protocols to maximize cannabinoid and terpene profiles while maintaining product integrity. My goal is to deliver cannabis products that set industry benchmarks for quality and consistency, reflecting our commitment to patient wellness and satisfaction.

Scott Cail

I am Scott Cail, born in Honolulu and raised in Northern Nevada. I moved to the Mendocino Coast to pursue a career in horticulture, studying and interning at the world-renowned Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens. With over 15 years of experience in all aspects of the cannabis industry, I have honed my skills and cultivated a strong passion for producing exceptional products. Now, I am excited to join the Sugar Pine team, bringing my extensive knowledge, “green thumb,” and dedication to excellence.
